Midnight Kiosk

Last light. Warm toast.

Open the counter while the city sleeps. Prepare the bread, read the order, lift the toast at just the right moment. On this corner, the night is only beginning.

Inside the game

A little kiosk. A whole night ahead.

The last ferry has gone. The shutters are down along the street, and the only bulb still burning is yours. Lift each toast right on time, keep the tea brewing, and spend the stars you earn on repairing the street, light by light. First the Pier, then under the Bridge.

Take it in the green.

Check the order, tap the bread, add what it asks for and put the toast on the grill. Take it while the needle is in the green and it comes out perfect, which earns more tokens; leave it too long and it burns and is thrown away. When the line grows, a glass of tea buys a little more time with a customer who is losing patience.

Stars repair the street.

Each level has three goals, and every goal you reach is a star. Spend your stars on the street: lights and a sign, a street lamp and a bench, the tea garden, an awning, the bakery, the pier gate. Every repair stays, and changes the street in front of you. Most of them open new levels too.

Old faces come back.

Uncle Hasan waited for ferries on this bench for forty years, and stopped coming when the lamp went out. There are twelve regulars: after each repair that opens levels, one stops by with two lines, and the second tells you what the next levels will bring. Finish the Pier and the Bridge opens, with fish sandwiches under it.

See, hear, feel

A sizzling grill. The sound of night.

The sea behind the street moves a little, the far lights shiver on it, and a ready glass of tea steams. A waltz plays on the street; the grill sizzles at the counter. The regulars’ lines are voiced in English and Turkish. Music, ambience, sound effects and voices each have their own level, and haptics have their own switch.

What is free, and what is sold?

Midnight Kiosk (Gece Büfesi in Turkish) is free to download. Every level and every repair on the street opens through play; no level needs a purchase. The game has ads: a reward ad plays only when you choose one (to double a level’s tokens or to get a life), and now and then an ad that you can close appears between levels you have won. “Remove Ads”, an optional purchase, takes away the ads between levels; reward ads stay as a choice. A lives refill, continues, the Unlimited Lives Card and packs of these are optional too. Stars and tokens are not sold. Purchases and restore go through Apple.

Free. With ads. No account needed.
