Help with gameplay, saves, audio and purchases in Upstairs.
How do I play?
Tap markers in rooms to inspect objects or go through doors. Select an inventory item, then tap the object where you want to use it. The journal keeps important evidence; Hint provides progressive help.
Play in landscape on iPhone or portrait and landscape on iPad. Choose English or Turkish in Settings. Reading text follows your system text size.
Where is my progress saved?
The main story saves automatically on this device after each action. Building Archive progress is separate; starting a new main story does not erase archive progress.
The game has no cloud synchronization. Restoring a purchase does not transfer game progress from another device. Restoring a device backup depends on your Apple settings and what the backup contains.
What does the optional purchase include?
The five-room main chapter, its two endings and its hints are included in the initial app purchase. The Silent Doorbell archive case is also included.
The optional one-time permanent Building Archive purchase unlocks two short document investigations: The Undelivered Parcel and The Midnight Stain. They contain eight additional documents, not new rooms or a continuation of the main story. There are no ads or subscriptions. The current price for your region appears in the app through Apple; availability depends on store status.
How do I restore a purchase?
Open Building Archive from the menu and select Restore Purchases. Use the Apple Account that made the purchase in the App Store. An internet connection may be required. If product information cannot load, try again later. The included case remains playable without store information.
A pending purchase does not unlock content until approved. Refunds or revocation can lock the two extra cases again without deleting archive progress.
I cannot hear the audio
Check silent mode, device media volume and the game’s separate music, ambience and effects controls. Audio plays while the game is active. Puzzles do not require hearing audio; story information also appears as text.
